My traveling project...

While I was on vacation, I traveled to Mitchell, SD...just for 3 days...darling hubby has been working here.  And since it didn't make sense to bring my sewing machine, only because it was too short of a trip, I brought my 1/4" inch hexagon paper piecing.  Boy, what was I thinking when I thought it would be "cute" and "fun"....I'm crazy!  Here's ONE flower which is completed....one trillion more to go!  Yippeee!

I wanted to finish up this project....

Good Morning, I wanted to finish up this project but after I laid it out....well, check out the pictures...you'll see my issues! I'm missing the finished block and I haven't embroidered one whole block!  The really potentially scary thing is that I thought I was done with the quilt, so I disassembled the kit.  Very happy that I'm a saver...all the fabric was in my scrap bin.

I wonder where the pattern is that I made up
December Santa to Embroider
Fabric from the scrap bin

Got my first tag completed...

Good Evening,  I'm on my second to last day of VACATION!  Honestly, I think it's safe to say that I'm going to have a hard time going back to work...well, probably not as hard as the difficulty to wake up so so early!

Nevertheless, I'm have ONE more day to enjoy...

BUT today, I made my first tag...yeah, I know I'm a little behind, but I got one created...so give me some credit!

I used the Mojo Monday sketch challenge with the Merry Monday challenge...these two were the best of both worlds...it was a nice looking sketch then paired with the colors: Red, Gray and White while using a christmas theme.

I had fun...who knows...maybe tomorrow I'll do another tag...THAT'S CRAZY THINKING!

Quilt store shopping...

Darling hubby drove me to the local quilt store before we visited the local man mall, Cabela's on Saturday....and here's what I got...I have not idea what I'm going to do with either of the fabrics...and I'm okay with that!

Dad's home...

Good morning, last week, my dad had surgery...he spent the WHOLE week in the hospital! YUCK! and that's how he felt for most of the week...however, I'm glad to report he was discharged yesterday.  He's happy to be home and catching up on some rest!

I thought a pick-me-up was in order...so darling hubby and I went to Cabela's for some "browsing".  We ended up getting dad some fishing stuff for this summer...something to look forward to, right?!

Here's the card I made to go with the get well gift:
