A quick valentine card...

I created this quick valentine card...using the MojoMonday sketch...I don't know it works for me...I think I needed some creative juices via Skype from my Oregonian peep...which I missed out on...poop!

My little helper...

Kane, my geriatrics cat...is my little helper! I took a quick picture of her...she's such a cutie! And yes, she runs the house...

Also, a new binding tool bargin...I'd been looking around for about a couple of months for a binding tool...even with coupons at various crafting stores, they were any where from $53 to $75...wasn't sure if I wanted to spend that much...after all it didn't even include any accessories needed for binding.  My Oreganian peep called with the deal of the YEAR! It was the Bind-It-All tool for a whooping $20...and with shipping...$33!!  Yep, she's right...it's the deal of the YEAR! It came with all of the instructions...except I think I throw away...a part...but I'm not sure!

I love the girls...

I love the girls...Michelle, Sharon, and Cindy! And what a treat to see them all today! Sharon and Michelle did some retail therapy last Friday...and they shared the therapy with the stipulation that I show them how to knit...so I obligated to their wish!  Take a look at...Starbella yarn by Premier Yarns...it's the latest craze! Love the look!

Here's where I am on my scarf...so much fun...Thank you guys for sharing!

Another progress report....

So I've managed to be really productive this month...I only hope it continues through out the rest of the year...but anyho, recently hubby and I hooked up the Netflix...so he's been watching a lot of movies...I'll sit and watch some of better movies with him...while I'm cross stitching on a project...Here's where I'm at with:

as of October 9, 2011

Here's another card...

Here's another card which I made with a Tim Holtz stamp set...my Oregonian peep got me for Christmas.  It's a MojoMonday sketch...again....I really like working with them....it takes the hard work out of the equation for me...

Three more to go...

I have three more blocks...I worked the vine and flowers this morning...before making a card.  I think I'm going back up to the craft room to make another one....or I might watch a movie and work on a cross stitch project!  I guess in not completely done because I need to button hole the flowers and vines...YUCK!

What flowers for me????

Hubby says this morning 8:57am (I slept in until 8:30am)...will you take the dogs for walk with me? My answer: Not right now....He says again...will you take the dogs for a walk with me? Obviously, he didn't hear my answer...or like my answer.  My next answer: Yep, I will take the dogs for a walk with you around NOON-ish.  So NOON-ish comes around...he comes into the house...hollers up the stairs...Honey, are you ready to walk the dogs?  I'm skyping with my Oregonian peep...my next answer: how about in 30-45 minutes...He grumbles something under his breath...Long story made shorter...we took for the walk with the dogs...and he picked me some winter flowers!  Loved the sentimental thought!

The next best thing....

The next best thing to making a card with my Oregonian peep in PORTLAND....is making a card with my Oregonian peep on SKYPE! Amazing technology and I'm lovin' it! What a wonderful afternoon to chat with her and make a card! Love her a ton!
We decided to work with the MojoMonday sketch for the card....and here's what I came up with!

Look at my sad...

Look at my sad Esty link to the right of this posting....I'm going to have to do something about it!  Anybody need Valentine Cards??!!

Another one bites the dust...

Another beautiful non-typical winter day in Minnesota! Although it was a bit chilly, the sun was big and bright!  Here's what going on right now...truly blessed with the years weather!

Anyho, the weather gave me reason, like I needed one, to sneak up into my craft room!  I got another block completed! However, I will admit I changed out some of the fabrics; I don't know if I helped or hindered the blocks...but they are completed nevertheless...here they are:

It's another....

While Hubby and his sister went to their nephew's wrestling match, I got a chance to sew another block!  Yippeee!  However, I might have to sew the civil war block again.  I transposed the brown paisley and the tan background with red flower; hopefully, it will look okay when I start laying out the quilt.  Here's what I have for pics:

Out and About today...

Today, my girlfriend and I were out and about...in the BIG town of St. Cloud...with weather in the low 50's...who wasn't out....it's not every day in January, Minnesotans are able to ride their motorcycles...and we saw several of them today!  Even though every day is a good day to visit local quilt and craft stores...today was an exceptionally good day!  I was able to get some coordinating fabrics to go with a couple of panels I purchased during the retreat in November.  Also, completed a kit I was putting together to (hopefully) sew later this year! Oh...I almost forgot the winter scenery panel and coordinating fabric...I didn't really need it, but ended up my cart of purchases. Oh well!
 :-)
Here are some pics:

Another block bites the dust...

I completed another block on the Elizabeth's Sampler Let's Begin Quilt by The Rabbit Factory; it went together really nicely with most of the corner matching up!

A New Years project from a previous year...

Happy New Year to everyone...hopefully, you were able to bring in the New Year in your own style.  My hubby and I were asleep by 10:30 pm...that's our style!

Anyho, I've started a Block of the Month project from SEVERAL years ago.  I think I was overly ambishous when I thought it would be fun to sew 2 different versions of this quilt.  Originally, there were 3 different versions to pick from.....and I chose: 1)Flowery/Summery one and 2)Civil War one. Although, I will say the quilt isn't the hardest, so I'm thinking it should sew up quickly...but as you may know sometimes the easiest ones are the difficult ones...

Here's a picture of the pattern cover:
Here's a pic of the blocks which I've completed:
